Practising spoken English through games

Hiya!

We've started the school year with our sessions of spoken English. From 3rd to 6th grades, they've got a session of forty-five minutes per week so that they can practise their oral English.

This week, we've started with... Parchís! NOOOOO!!! It's name is LUDO! 

And there was a new rule... If anybody said the numbers in Catalan, they'd miss their turn... ;)

Ready for... arts and crafts!!

Welcome back!
It's been two days since we've started and yet we can't wait to show you what our students from 6th grade have been doing!
It's the first time that we'll be doing a subject in English, and we're so excited!!!
In a couple of weeks we'll show you the whole project we've been preparing, but meanwhile our students have been familiarising with "Picmonkey", decorating canvas, including different pictures and photos, learning the difference between a .jpg and a .png ...
They're not bored... And so we aren't!!!☺️

Creating Beebot games for the little ones...

Hello again!
Our 6th grade students are back in business deciding the games that they can create for the Beebots. Then, they'll do the activity with the p4 students... They know it and can't wait to do it. We'll show you the pictures next week! :)

Let's do some coaching!

We've been doing some coaching techniques with our 5th and 6th grade students and the results are surprising!
It's been interesting to see how they think they are, their satisfaction when a colleague told them how good they were on something and the smile of them when they left the class.

Coaching has loads of benefits, not only for the students, but also for the teachers and parents:

"The practice of coaching in the classroom is one of the most effective ways to bring out the best in students, to develop their talents and strengths, to build skills and confidence and to nurture learning.

My favourite food

These weeks, the P4 students have been working with the book called: "My favourite food". It's been awesome to see how they learnt all of the fruit names and even knew the animals' favourite food...
I bet you can't guess the Goats' favourite food.... SOCKS!!!!!
